I won a competition to be a Concert Photographer at Lokerse Feesten!
During early July 2020, I came across an advertisement to join a competition. The reward? Being able to shoot at a festival with experienced photographers. That was a no-brainer! I applied immediately and later heard I got chosen out of over 50 contestants.
August 5 was the day! Line-up: Maneskin, winners of the Eurovision Song Festival. What an act!
Sadly, they cancelled the show only a few days before D day... The festival was able to book 3 bands to replace them. A bummer at first, but it turned out into one of the coolest things I've ever done. new line-up: Equal Idiots, Sons & Ramkot.

Shooting three different bands gave me more opportunity to get creative. With the professional tips and tricks from Photographers like Geert Van De Velde, I was able to capture the moment in all it's glory.
In hindsight, I am proud of the shots I made and I'm already looking forward to the next time I will throw myself in front of a stage to click that one unique moment. Below are some other shots I made that night, check my portfolio for the full series.
